Ads for remodelers that bring projects worth bidding on
A full kitchen and a vanity swap can come from the same click. I run ads that attract the projects you want, filter out the rest, and track every lead to the signed contract.

Where remodeling companies lose ad money
Small jobs dressed as remodels
A search for bathroom remodel can mean a full gut or a new faucet. Without price signals in the ad and a few questions in the form, the calendar fills with visits that never turn into projects.
Shared leads from marketplaces
Lead marketplaces often send the same homeowner to several companies, so the first call is already a price comparison. Your own ads cost more per lead and bring people who chose you.
Months between the click and the contract
Remodels are planned around design, budget, financing and the family calendar. A lead that gets one call and one estimate is usually lost to whoever stayed in touch.
Financing ads in the wrong category
On Meta, an ad that promotes financing belongs to the financial products and services category. Running it as a normal ad gets it rejected, often in the middle of a campaign.
What these searches cost on Google
Real searches from Google’s own Keyword Planner, across the United States. The bid range is what advertisers paid to appear at the top of the page: the lower number is the cheaper end of the market, the higher one is what the most aggressive competitors pay.
| Search | Monthly searches | Top of page bid |
|---|---|---|
| bathroom remodel | 100K–1M | $9.58 to $55.00 |
| bathroom remodel near me | 10K–100K | $13.68 to $55.00 |
| kitchen remodel | 10K–100K | $4.31 to $30.00 |
| kitchen remodel near me | 10K–100K | $6.58 to $41.68 |
| kitchen remodel cost | 10K–100K | $2.03 to $10.25 |
| bathroom remodel cost | 10K–100K | $3.92 to $23.22 |
| tub to shower conversion | 10K–100K | $7.35 to $41.59 |
| small bathroom remodel | 10K–100K | $2.88 to $20.97 |
| home remodeling contractors | 10K–100K | $5.68 to $32.65 |

Bathroom searches cost more than kitchen searches at the top of the page. Kitchen projects are usually larger and their clicks are cheaper, which makes kitchens the better place to start for most remodelers. Cost searches cost the least of all and come from people planning a budget, the best audience for a page that explains your price ranges.

What works for remodeling companies
Search for high-intent projects
Kitchen and bathroom remodel searches with ads that show a starting price or project range, so people looking for a cheap fix scroll past.
Meta for planners
Short videos of finished projects and your process reach homeowners while they are still deciding who to call.
Forms that qualify
Project type, budget range and timeline in the form, so your team knows which consults to take first.
Reminders over a long decision
People who requested a consult and went quiet see your projects again in the weeks they take to decide.
Rules to know
Florida and several other states require your contractor license number in advertising (Florida statutes, section 489.119). I put it in the ad assets and on the landing page.
On Meta, ads for housing repairs fall under the housing special ad category, and ads that promote financing fall under financial products and services. Both remove targeting by age, gender and ZIP code and require a radius of at least 15 miles, so the creative does the filtering.
A year of ads for remodeling companies
January to March
Planning season. Homeowners research and collect quotes for spring projects. Meta with finished projects, and search on cost and design terms.
April to June
Highest intent. Most of the budget on kitchen and bath remodel searches, with fast replies to consult requests.
July to September
Steady demand and full calendars. Use ads to book projects for the fall, not for next week.
October to December
Projects that must finish before the holidays, then a planning push for January. Follow up every estimate from the year.
Budget and price
Remodeling usually starts at $1,500 a month on Google for kitchens and baths, and $1,000 on Meta, where people plan projects months ahead.

About 5 signed projects a month. An illustration from the average cost per lead, not a forecast: your city, your offer and how fast leads get a reply move every number here.
My fee is flat: $900 a month for one channel or $1,500 for Google and Meta, never a percentage of your spend. Setup is free when you start with 3 months.
- Month to month, ad accounts in your name
- If you leave, the accounts and history stay with you, no exit fee
- Reports count calls and leads, not clicks
- Confidential: I never name my clients
Setup checklist
- Separate campaigns for kitchens, bathrooms and whole-home projects
- A starting price or project range in the ads and on each page
- A form that asks project type, budget range and timeline
- Meta campaigns in the right special ad category when they promote financing
- License number in the ads and on the landing page
- Signed projects sent back to Google and counted against the ad that started them
Mistakes that cost the most
No price signal anywhere
Without a range in the ad or on the page, the calendar fills with consults for projects a fraction of the size you want.
Ideas and pictures searches left open
Searches for remodel ideas come from people collecting inspiration, often years away. They cost money and rarely sign.
One follow-up and then silence
Remodels take months to decide. A single call after the estimate leaves most of the paid leads to whoever kept in touch.
Running the projects is where the margin is made. See job management for contractors: estimates, job costs and invoices in one place.

Questions owners ask
How much should a remodeling company spend on Google Ads?
Remodeling sits in the home services category, where the 2026 average is about $91 per lead. At that average, $3,000 a month brings roughly 33 leads. Because a signed project is worth a lot and takes several leads, I usually start at $1,500 on Google for kitchens and baths and add Meta once the tracking works.
How do you avoid small jobs and tire kickers?
Three ways at once: a starting price or project range in the ad, a few qualifying questions in the form, and a weekly list of excluded searches like cheap, DIY or rental. The leads drop a little in number and rise a lot in quality.
Are lead marketplaces cheaper than running our own ads?
Per lead, sometimes. Per signed project, often not, because marketplace leads are usually shared and price-shopped. Many remodelers keep a marketplace while their own ads ramp up, then compare the cost per signed project side by side.
Can we advertise financing on Meta?
Yes, in the financial products and services special ad category, which limits targeting by age, gender and ZIP code and requires a 15-mile radius. I set the campaign up in the right category from the start so the ads don’t get pulled mid-campaign.
How do you track a contract signed months after the click?
Every lead is saved with its source, and when the contract is signed, the outcome goes back to Google. Google accepts offline outcomes for clicks up to 90 days old. For longer sales, the report still counts every signed project by the ad that started it.
Do Meta ads work for remodelers?
Yes, for planned projects. Remodels are visual, and homeowners plan them for months. Meta is where they see your finished work before they search, which makes the search ads cheaper later.
